First Entry from Andrew

I definitely don't do things like this but Nancy would like people to know how things are going for me out here in Utah. It's pretty boring when you go from being a husband and father to living the life of a bachelor. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I was living in my house enjoying the things that the money I am making goes toward. Sometimes I feel like a mooch living with other families in their home when I am surely old enough and responsible to be supporting myself. Other than those feelings I seem to be doing okay.

Since Nancy "tagged" me I guess I better make that part of this entry. Here it goes:

A Piece of What?

My kids are driving me crazy today....I mean, really crazy. So, after listening to screaming and fighting and crying for hours on end I finally told my 4-year old daughter this evening that I needed some "peace and...." and before I could finish my phrase she said, "A piece of what Mommy?" I, gritting my teeth, said again, "I need some peace and quiet."

"Ohhhhh, a piece of quiet," came her reply. And then whispering, "Here's a piece of quiet for you Mommy." And then it was off to do mayhem again. I laughed and shook my head. Covering my eyes, I realized that it was better just to except the craziness then to try to fight it.

Our Little Crawler

Regan took forever to learn to crawl. She's almost 14 months old and she's only been crawling efficiently for about 2 weeks now. Some people say, Oh, be glad she hasn't been running you ragged.... to which I say, I wish she didn't have to be carried around all the time. Now, I just have to worry about all the little "things" laying around that she can get to and put in her mouth. AND getting into the bathroom, etc. I know I'm wishing the time away, but boy, I wish she could walk now!!! :)

Header Creation

So, I've been changing my header (daily, it seems) but I think I've got it this time. I love playing around with the design.....I can't ever seem to get satisfied with it. What do you think?

Dance Party

My daughter and I love to have dance parties. Tonight we had a great time dancing away the night. I can remember when I was little I loved to go down to the basement in front of a vanity mirror and dance for hours. Seems my daughter has the same passion. She got on top of our coffee table (it's rather large and very sturdy) to dance because she likes to see her reflection in the TV. She said, "Look, Mommy, it's a dance movie with me in it!" She has some of the funniest dance moves. She tries to be a ballerina and it comes out looking more like a contortionist's movement. We ended up laughing and laughing......

Kinda reminds me of some Debbie Gibson dance videos I made when I was young (that one's for you, Bub.........) I should record Aurora's dance moves for posterity (or blackmail). HA! HA!

Happy Days Are Here Again

Happy New Year to everyone! Can't believe it's already 2009.....time flies, I guess. Last night I stayed up reading and then talked to Andrew on the phone when the midnight hour came around. Of course, it wasn't midnight in Utah, but he did a good job pretending. I was relieved that there weren't all kinds of fireworks and gunshots (yes, you read correctly....gunshots!) like there usually is in the neighborhood. Yea, does everyone know what a hick state Delaware is? You'd think they would all be uptight Northerners...but really it's just a bunch of rednecks pretending to be uptight Northerners....ha! So anyway, I'm just glad I wasn't home alone with a bunch of crazies shooting off their firearms in the middle of the night.

I wanted to update everyone on my Fantasy Football progress....remember I wrote about that earlier....Delaware Devils.....nuff said, right? Anyhow, it wasn't looking really good for me at the beginning of the season, but I pulled it off! I WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!....defeated all those overconfident Tice males (for those of you who know them) and won the whole shabang. It's kind of a running joke in the family now that all the women are better at predicting the outcomes of sports games and such than the men. I think it's because the men are so analytical that they aren't able to just guess logically. Oh well! Whatever it is, it works for me.

Well, another year.....another dollar......can't wait to see what 2009 holds for our little family!! New home (hopefully), Aurora starts school, potty-training for Jesse, walking for Regan....exciting stuff!!!
