Queen Bee

It is so HOT out here right now. Today it was 95 degrees!!!! Yesterday, it was in the high 80s and we decided to go to a cool park that we found in Pleasant Grove. It was such a fun place to play. There are these little "beehives" that the kids can climb into and play. Regan thought this was really fun. She looked so adorable sitting in her beehive like the Queen Bee!! She didn't want to ever come out.

Spirit of the Law

I have always commented on how obedient Jesse is...especially when it comes to getting out of bed in the mornings. He stays in bed (not just his bedroom, but actually in his bed) until I come to get him. He reads, or plays, or something to pass the time. It's really nice!

So naturally, I wondered what would happen when we had to stay with other people like we've been doing for the past few weeks. He and Aurora have been sleeping on couches in the family room areas in the houses we've been staying at, so I expected him to get up out of bed like Aurora. However, Aurora has always gotten up first and come to get me up before Jesse has had a chance to wake up. Not this morning though!! I woke up to Jesse's voice, yelling, "HEY! EVERYBODY!!! It's MOOORRRNNNIIINNNNGGGG!!!!" What a character!! I guess he really DID stay in bed.....

Update on Regan: We went to the zoo yesterday and she vomited all over herself, the stroller, and the ground again. Yeah.....just picture me cleaning her and the stroller in a public bathroom with nothing but a few wipes and a burp cloth. No paper towels in this bathroom! Thank heavens we'd packed that burp cloth. Hopefully this will all end soon.

House Update: We are scheduled for closing today at 5pm, but it takes at least another 24 hrs to have the State of Utah sign off on the closing before we can take possession. It is so hard to buy a home in UT!!! At least we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :)

No Big Deal

One of the worst things about being a mom is having to clean up all the gross things that my kids produce. Yesterday, it was Regan's turn to gross us all out.....First, it was the gallon of diarrhea that we cleaned off of her and her bedding. Then, she puked all over Andrew (and the floor). Poor little girl!! I felt really bad that she was sick, but who likes to clean up that stuff??? Ok...usually this is about all my kids do when they get sick. Just a day of biting the bullet and cleaning it all up and then the next day is great.

Things were looking really great this morning.....Regan was drinking again and wanting to play. She slept for about 7 hours this afternoon (I was just letting her sleep because that's the best thing, right?). She woke up, still smiling and laughing.......except her bed was a MESS AGAIN!! Hey! This isn't supposed to happen. Ok, I just dug right in and cleaned everything up again. Surely that was the end, I thought.

Yes....I'm naive! I should not have even gotten up this morning.

We decided to all go out to dinner. The people we are staying with had plans tonight so we just thought we'd step out for a bite to eat and then head back home. Well, as we were taking turns filling our plates from the buffet, I decided to hold Regan because she was getting cranky. Next thing I knew, Regan was hurling buckets of vomit all over me. It was literally dripping on the floor on my way to the bathroom. I can't even describe in words how gross the whole thing was. Thank goodness I was wearing 2 shirts and that we had a jacket in the car for Regan to wear. I think I'll be smelling it in my sleep though. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had.....

Andrew said that he didn't think anyone in the restaurant even noticed. He's so kind, isn't he?

Twilight Epidemic

OK....so I caved.....I didn't really understand what all the hype was about with these "Twilight" books. Now I understand, and can firmly say that they were awesome! I've almost finished reading the entire 4 book "Twilight" series. I'm glad I read them so now I'm not so anxious for the next movie to come out in November. I already know the outcome!! Yippee!! But, I found this really great cartoon and thought I'd post it for all my LDS Twilight Fans out there:

Hilarious, right?

Townhouse Floor Plan

For anyone who wanted to see the inside of the townhouse we are buying, here's the floor plan. Sorry, the words are flipped because that's the way our house will be. There is also a full basement that is unfinished.
MAIN FLOOR
(875 sq ft)

SECOND FLOOR
(1310 sq ft)

The Wii Obsession

I finally got my camera out again! Here's a few pictures I took of the kids on the morning before we left our house in Delaware:

The kids loved being able to sleep in the living room. It was something they've never gotten to do and I'm glad they enjoyed SOMETHING about the move.

While staying at the Memmott's I've gotten to understand a completely different side to my kids. I'll just call it the "Wii Obsession"!!!! Here's an example of just how obsessed my kids are with Mario Kart......See the look of concentration on their faces? Especially Jesse's.....Aurora gets so excited she screams. What an experience!!!

A Little Off the Top

I got my haircut last Saturday. It was so nice to go somewhere without all the kids. Although, I felt like I was forgetting something when I was getting out of the car. OH! No kids to have to unbuckle...hee hee!

Anyway, I just wanted a trim and I thought I'd get it cut to just below my shoulders. Only, when the hairstylist started measuring, she said I almost had enough to donate to "locks for love" (I think that's what it's called). They require at least 10 inches. So I said just do it! So, my hair rests just on my shoulders now. A little shorter than I planned, but at least the rest is helping someone else. I really had no idea that my hair had gotten that long. It'll be long again very soon, I'm sure. My hair always grows really fast! Or maybe time passes so quickly that it seems to grow fast.

We should be closing on our townhouse on Monday! I'm so excited!!!
